About Me

I'm Tuomas, a Senior Power BI Consultant specializing in semantic modeling and structured reporting environments. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer, I work hands-on with development while establishing governance practices that keep Power BI environments structured as they grow.

I typically work in environments where reporting is business-critical and must perform reliably. My focus is on building models and reports that remain robust as complexity increases — designed with long-term structure in mind, not short-term shortcut.

Power BI Development and Governance

I design and build production-grade semantic models and Power BI reports with focus on usability, performance, and maintainable structure. I train internal teams and define workspace architecture and deployment practices that keep the environment controlled as it grows.

Analytics Engineering

When data lands in your platform, I work in the transformation layer to prepare it for reporting. I use dbt for version-controlled transformation work and have experience building gold-layer models directly in the platform.

Responsible for end-to-end financial analytics development, covering both Power BI reporting and data engineering within the Databricks lakehouse environment.
Design and modification of SQL-based data transformations, extension of existing views, and development of new analytical tables to ensure consistent business logic, improved performance, and scalable reporting architecture.

Power BI Developer - Energy Industry (Separate Enterprise Client )

Developed enterprise-level Power BI reporting solutions across multiple business domains including B2B sales, market pricing, marketing performance, web analytics, SEO, and customer survey reporting.
Designed and delivered a Power BI solution integrated with PowerApps to enable controlled data input and modification within the reporting workflow.

Planned and designed organizational Power BI Gateway setup to enable secure and scalable data connectivity.
Developed tenant-level reporting to provide visibility into Power BI usage across the organization. Extended and adapted existing PowerShell scripts to extract and structure administrative metadata for tenant-level reporting and usage analysis.
